When was FASTag introduced?
FASTag was initially setup as a pilot project within the stretch of the Golden Quadrilateral (GQ), between Ahmedabad and Mumbai on 2014, then between Delhi and Mumbai on November 2014 and Chennai to Bangalore stretch on July 2015.
FASTag was rolled out to 247 toll plazas on national highways across India by April 2016 and to 100 more toll plazas by November 2016.
600+ toll plazas are now connected with FASTag and many more are in queue to connect very soon.
